Smart Zambia through the department of Service Management has embarked on a program to decentralize the E-payslip Distribution Management Information System to the districts.
The program is aimed at facilitating easy access of the epayslip by workers and promote efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of Electronic Government services to the citizens.
It is anticipated that decentralizing the Epayslip Distribution Management Information System to the districts will help save time, resources in terms of transport and reduce queues at provincial ICT centres as those who travel long distances in order to seek help on how to access the service will start receiving that help from their respective districts.
To commence the program, Smart Zambia trained 26 Human Resource Officers from the 10 districts of Copperbelt province on the Epayslip Distribution Management Information System and other electronic applications such as the Zamportal, Microsoft teams among others. The human resource officers will serve as district contact persons in facilitating access of the epayslip and other electronic Government services. The training was facilitated by the provincial ICT office in Ndola.
