‎SMART Zambia Institute’s Government Chief Technology Officer (GCTO) Ms. Kasali Musenge has disclosed that digital transformation under the Smart Zambia Institute  (e-Government Division) is directly translating presidential directives into measurable outcomes across key sectors.

‎Speaking in an interview with ZANIS as the country commemorates the 2026 Presidential Delivery Unit (PDU) Day today under the theme “From Commitment to Result Delivery,” Ms. Musenge noted that institutions have practically implemented presidential directives by leveraging technology in critical areas such as revenue collection, health, education, and mining.

‎She revealed that the Zamportal, a digital platform, has contributed positively to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), significantly boosting Government’s revenue base solely through digitisation.
‎
‎“Government is collecting revenue through digital platforms such as the Government Services Bus (GSB), where we have reduced corruption by enhancing direct interaction with citizens to access public services,” Ms. Musenge stated.

‎She added that the PDU Day theme aligns seamlessly with Government’s agenda of reaching citizens in the most efficient manner.
