Lusaka 31st May 2024 SZI……The Special Assistant to the President in Charge of Policy and Compliance, Mr. Joseph Lungu, stated that the new government was elected to bring change as outlined in the UPND manifesto, with digitizing government processes being a top priority.
He emphasized that SMART Zambia needs to develop a strategy to encourage public utilization of digital services, as people continue to queue for services at the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA), Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA), and other public bodies.
He said that government acknowledges that national development is the paramount priority. To achieve this, the government recognizes the importance of the digital transformation agenda, which aims to improve service delivery, enhance access to information, increase the utilization of electronic government services, and promote operational efficiency and transparency. Ultimately, this transformation will improve the lives of the Zambian people.
