The Permanent Secretary Public Service Management Division Ms Margaret Miyoba said that the government has been looking forward for the digitisation of processes in government.

Lusaka 31st May 2024 SZI…..The Permanent Secretary Public Service Management Division Ms Margaret Miyoba said that the government has been looking forward for the digitisation of processes in government.
She said the digital transformation Change management strategy will help to address the challenges that have been faced by PSMD in processing government services. This will help efficiency in the manner that division has been handling ensures of delayed payment to the retirees.
Ms Miyoba said that the strategy will answer to the issues relating to the inefficiency and manual process of handling files of pension public funds retirees which will avoid putting the retired officers on payroll as they wait for the pension. Other issues that will be addressed by the strategy are inefficiency in handling human resources disciplinary issues due to poor record keeping resulting in disciplinary cases taking so long to be addressed.
She said that digitisation will help in addressing bad elements such as delayed disciplinary matters as a result of manual processes. This makes the disciplinary cases delayed to be disposed of due to poor record keeping.
The digitisation of government processes will further help to reduce bad element and improve accountability, improved efficiency in the manner the division delivers public services.
