The Parliamentary Committee on Cabinet Affairs has committed to lobbying for more computers, especially for schools in rural areas.

This commitment was made after a visit to the digital transformation centre established by the SMART Zambia Institute (E-Government Division) at Kitwe Boys Secondary School by the Acting Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Cabinet Affairs and Member of Parliament for Mwandi Constituency, Sibeso Sefulo, the parliamentary committee on cabinet affairs.

Ms Sefulo emphasized the need for more funding to schools for the purchase of computers and urged fellow committee members to table a motion in parliament and advocate for increased funding for computer purchases in schools through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).”

The lawmaker has commended the SMART Zambia Institute for the e-learning digital transformation centre, which has enhanced the learning experience for science subjects and other areas.
