The Electronic Government Division has announced the commencement of the operationalisation of the National Electronic Government Plan (NeGP) 2023-2026. In line with this, a first kick-off meeting was held for heads of ICT in the Ministries to orient them on the public sector digital transformation agenda, re-orient them to the priorities in the NeGP, discuss the 2024 budget estimates in relation to the implementation of the plan, and re-orient them to the electronic government policy and legal framework.
The orientation meetings are being held following the approval of the National Electronic Government Plan (NEGP) by Cabinet in its sitting on the 27th March 2023. The aim of the NEGP is to provide impetus for sector-based digitalisation strategies/plans that will drive effective public sector digital transformation in Zambia.
