In the framework of improving the quality of public service, SMART Zambia has been evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of information technology controls in Public Service information systems and related operations such as the e-Tolling system to ensure they are operating as intended. SMART Zambia has since collaborated with the National Road Fund Agency (NRFA) to strengthen performance of the Electronic Tolling System.
In this vein, on Thursday, 11th Jully,2019, SMART Zambia National Coordinator Dr Martine Mtonga conducted an on the spot check of the Katuba Toll Plaza to gain a full understanding of the effectiveness and efficiency of the systems and related operations to ensure they are operating as intended.
During the visit the National Coordinator interacted with some motorist to gauge their experience in terms of quality of service especially those that are using electronic cards. Most of the motorist were impressed with the introduction of electronic payments.
